Nadia Abadjieva

Nadia Abadjieva (2001, BG) graduated from the BA Interactive Media Design (I/M/D) programme in 2025. Her work forms a collection of stories—a blend of fiction and reality—that together create her autobiography. Each chapter is dedicated to someone or something that holds deep significance for her.

In her practice, Abadjieva explores how identity is shaped through relationships with both human and non-human entities. She reflects on how who we are is defined by what we do, what we choose not to do, the friends we love, the objects we possess, the parents we have known, and the siblings we grew up with. Once we understand all that, she suggests, we can invent the rest.
