Marijn Abbink
Marijn Abbink is the Education Policy Officer of the Royal Conservatoire and works closely with all departments on curriculum innovation.
She regularly takes part in European working groups and projects, for example CALOHEX, a project that developed qualifications reference frameworks and learning outcomes for Higher Education in the Creative and Performing Arts and Design subject area. She is actively involved in IN.TUNE, the Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe – which is the only European Universities Alliance in the field of music and arts. She is a harpist, harp teacher, and has a MSc in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music, London. Her research interests include the culture within a conservatoire and the one-to-one teaching setting. Her current research focuses on the conservatoire teacher's perspective regarding curriculum developments such as the Master Project and power relations.
