Fr 27 Oct 2023 19:15 – 19:45, Presentation with sound samples - Studio 2, Spuiplein 150

In the third edition in a series of explorations of research methods in art and design, the KABK Design Lectorate (headed by Alice Twemlow) focuses on how research is conducted through listening and with sound and the sonic. At the centre of this serie Listening as a Research Method is the research-practice of sound practicioner and educator Femke Dekker, known under her artist moniker Loma Doom.

For the Joint Research Day, Alice Twemlow interviews Femke to learn about the role of listening and the sonic in Femke's teaching and her research 'Open Field'.
