Carmen Draxler

Carmen is a designer and visual researcher who enjoys to repair. She currently studies at the Non-linear Narrative department at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK).

In her artistic practice and research, she deals with the alienating causes and conditions of the Anthropocene, and designs visual storytelling figures that escape dominant narratives in order to create spaces for meaningful connection and radical care.

Having studied and worked between Germany and Canada in recent years, she now holds a bachelor degree in Visual Communication from Bauhaus University, Weimar. She is concerned with ecological grief, feminism, biology and oil infrastructure by critically engaging through visual research, material experiementation and collective practices.
