Annemarie Wadlow

Annemarie Wadlow (UK, 1993) is a research-led visual artist working between moving image, writing and drawing.

Her work explores the middle ground between image and imagination; often using archival, art historical, or referential material to question notions of inheritance, identity, and belonging. Paying homage and explicitly sharing references are not only feminist methodologies that underpin the way she works, but are also recurrent and central motifs. Her debut publication Women Looking at Women Looking at Women was included in the prestigious selection of the Best Dutch Book Designs 2022, and is distributed internationally. Alongside her personal practice, Annemarie co-founded and co-curates experimental life drawing sessions for her artist initiative, Nice Flaps.
