Open call: Lectorate FILM is looking for researchers!
We invite you to share your research in or through film/moving image with colleagues, in monthly meetings between January and December 2027.
Successful applicants will have one day per week for 9 months added to their contracts.
About the Research Group
The project explores research through film by investigating how filmmaking can operate as a discursive artistic practice. It is guided by a series of interconnected questions:
- How does form transform into content?
- When does course evolve into discourse?
- When does meaning become knowledge?
- At what point does filmmaking become research?
The collective aspects of the group may include creating a series of video essays or a collective essay film, an open-source library of resources, identification of research methods as part of a larger film project, preparing a grant application and/or contributing to the lectorate’s activities. The Group’s work is shared via a public sharing and online platform.
